Counselors are available in Phillipsburg and Colby Monday through Thursday. Call (785) 625-5521 or toll-free (877) 775-2180.
All programs are supported by a grant from the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) and Behavioral Health Services (BHS).
Individual counseling at Smoky Hill Foundation includes individual sessions by appointment for those who are unable to attend group counseling sessions due to work, family obligations or specific individual needs.
The Primary Outpatient Program provides treatment in a group setting two days per week for a period of approximately 12 weeks. This structured program combines educational sessions on various aspects of the disease of addiction, recovery, group therapy and is open-ended.
Our Primary Outpatient Treatment program is an appropriate choice of treatment for chemically dependent individuals whose progression in the disease process has not reached the point of requiring inpatient treatment. Therefore, patients can maintain other aspects of their lives such as family and employment while getting the help that they need.
Our Women's Group Program is an outpatient treatment program designed to meet the specific needs of the chemically dependent female. The program is structured to provide education on various aspects of the disease of addiction and the recovery process.
This program is open-ended, and patients may enter at any point of the treatment process. The Women's Group Program meets two times per week for approximately 24 sessions or depending on individual needs.
Our Aftercare/Continuing Care Program is offered to patients who have completed an inpatient treatment episode or have completed an outpatient treatment program and need continuing support in order to maintain their recovery.
These sessions are held to provide support for patients and provide an opportunity to relate to others in recovery. A professional counselor facilitates all sessions.
Peer mentoring services provide support and assistance to enhance recovery goals, especially for those new to recovery that are lacking a healthy support system. The certified peer mentor is in sustained recovery and is familiar with community resources to help with maintaining a healthy lifestyle while receiving treatment.
Our mentors also provide support in skill development and implementation of recovery principles. Patients can meet weekly on an individual basis or attend a weekly support group facilitated by the peer mentor.
